What God's Made
For a short moment, poetry writing was a requirement in school. I wrote three poems for school. One a bit of a joke, and two with a message. I like them all, but I think this one's my favorite. Would that I actually had been sitting where I described when I wrote it instead of stuck inside the classroom dreaming of prettier places.
What God's Made - September 2014
The sky was blue,
The sun was bright;
Trees and flowers,
Glowing in the light.
I sat beneath
The shining trees;
Flowers buzzing
With lots of big bees.
A babbling brook
Ran at my feet,
Birds flew over
Singing bittersweet.
I pondered quietly
By the stream;
Upon my face,
A smile did beam.
I looked around
At what God's made,
While resting calmly
In a shady glade.
