The Sky

The farthest I could hope to look,

The farthest I could see,

Is looking up into the sky,

While looking toward Thee.

All other ways my view is blocked,

By trees and mountains true.

And looking down, my gaze is stuck,

the ground obstructs my view. 

But looking up, the way is clear,

It's clear, and blue, and free.

The farthest I could hope to reach,

Is reaching toward Thee.
